The Practice is fully conversant with the intricacies of renewable and sustainable energy and by employing the latest thermal modeling techniques we are able to advise the Client/Design Team as to the validity of the proposed building in terms of minimizing energy consumption and the most suitable renewable technology for each particular project.
We aim to provide early advice concerning modern energy efficient design whether in the form of passive means such as building orientation, solar shading, improved thermal insulation, etc; and / or active measures including air/ground source heat pumps, photovoltaics, solar panels and wind turbines.
Expertise on Building Regulation compliance, particularly Part L and other such associated Codes for Sustainability, BREEAM Assessments is provided by default; with options available for the provision of approved SAP / SBEM calculations and Energy Performance Certificates.
Renewable technology, sustainability and energy conservation are at the forefront of modern building services design; our Engineers are passionate and committed to promoting such technology utilising proven, viable and cost effective methods with such advice provided on an individual project basis.
We consider it essential to discuss relevant sustainability options at the concept stage of the building design, thus allowing the Architect to consider appropriate means of incorporating "passive" energy reductions to the building; allowing us the opportunity for utilizing "active" low and zero carbon technologies applicable to the mechanical and electrical service solutions.
