The rear elevation running northwards from the Webb Building includes a new basement bar / “party room” and glazed café pavilion which provides panoramic views across the College grounds. In keeping with other historical buildings on the campus, a wide range of construction techniques and have been implemented to bring the old and new together, either by way of complimenting or by purposeful contrast. The lightweight timber pergola of the café pavilion differs from the substantial brick and oak main entrance which in turn differs from the balconies and profiled stone walls of the remodelled Rank Building.
